The King of Nice.
Having only started stand-up comedy in 2021, King has performed in various open mic shows in the Klang Valley as well as in Penang. He’s also performed as a featured act for shows opening for headliners. He has performed in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Australia.
He took up stand-up comedy because he wanted to learn how to make humorous videos but ended up being on stage rather than in front of a camera. He currently works as a full-time journalist by day but by night and the weekends, he loves to make people laugh.
In a past life (if one can call it that), he was a scriptwriter for the hit Malaysian sitcom Kopitiam and for Singapore’s Phua Chu Kang. He’s written for corporate videos, feature films, short films and even won for his short film “A Bowl of Soup” that took out six awards in the 2022 Short + Sweet Malaysia Festival (Best Actor (Female), Best Script, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Overall Production and Artistic Director’s Award).
He has worked in Singapore before and decided to move back to Malaysia to be with family and now he is entertaining audiences with his wit, humour and snarky comments.
